I discovered yoga in 2001 and my life has never been the same. Within three months of dedicated practice I enrolled in my first teacher training in Phoenix, AZ. A few months later I traveled to India for several weeks to explore the deeper spiritual aspects of the practice. Upon returning I lived at the Sivananada Yoga Center in San Francisco and worked as an editorial intern at Yoga Journal. It was fascinating to be part of the rising wave of mainstream yoga by day and the traditional Indian style of yoga by night.
I then travelled to Australia for a 9-month, 1,100-hour teacher training in which we received instruction in all aspects of the practice. This time of intense transformation turned me from a yoga practitioner into a yogi and a teacher.
Since then I have taught over 10,000 hours of yoga and meditation, including 200 and 300-hour teacher training, specialty trainings for prenatal and therapeutic yoga, as well as developing my own method of MindBody Reconditioning, which combines the practices of yoga and meditation with coaching and shamanic healing.
I feel truly blessed to be a lifelong student and teacher of the practice of yoga, which translates into all areas of life.
