I didn't set out to have a career in fitness and yoga, I wanted to be a vet. Well, first a nun, then a vet. I grew up in Vermont and my mother, a bit of a hippie, practiced and taught yoga and I would practice with her as a child, but that's not what set me on this path. I was always an athlete, so fitness came very naturally to me. I joined a gym at 16, started teaching at 20, and it was through sports and and fitness that I came full circle to yoga to keep my body healthy. I came for the body and stayed for the mind. I love yoga, I love fitness. The privilege to pass that on to students is like nothing else. I still get excited for class. In addition to teaching, I'm the National Director of Programming & Teacher Management for YogaWorks which allows me help take more yoga and fitness to the masses.
