Love this but a question about planks in pregnancy

Hi! I'm absolutely loving all the prenatal pregnancy programs on My Yoga Works and this class is one of my favourites, however I always do alternate exercises when we get to the plank. I've been told by a number of specialist pre and post-natal trainers, a Physical Therapist who specialises in pre and post-natal women's issues, as well just general reading that during pregnancy floor planks aren't recommended for pregnant women because doing them puts pressure on the linea alba and can put us at a higher risk of having diastasis recti during or after pregnancy. I'm surprised to see a few pre-nantal classes on here still incorporate them in the class and wondered why? Do you have different advice and why is this? I myself had no issues during or after my first pregnancy but avoided planks, and now in my second trimester I attempted one during a My Yoga Works prenatal class to see how it felt and I definitely felt strain. I love your classes for women. I would love classes for menstruating. I notice I cannot engage my core the same way or should not.
